Knitting Needles Chart

Needle	Sizes	Description
Straight	9-14”	The needles have straight shafts with a knob at the end to retain the stitches. They are used for flat knitting.
Circular	12-60”	Circular needles consist of two needles joined by a nylon cable. They are used for circular knitting and are easier to manipulate, especially for larger projects, than double point needles.
Double-point	4-18”	UUsed for circular knitting, particularly of smaller objects. These needles are straight with points at each end.
Flex		Flex needles are used for flat knitting. Very similar to straight needles, they feature flexible stoppered ends which allow for more comfortable distribution of the weight while knitting.
